Partnership for Prescription Assistance revamps website

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) launched a redesigned website on Tuesday, with new functionality and features that give caregivers and patients easier, faster access to information on more than 475 private and public patient assistance programs.

“For nearly 10 years, PPA has assisted struggling patients who need help accessing their medicines," John J. Castellani, president and CEO of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, said. "Together with our member companies, we have worked tirelessly to make sure patients across the country are aware of assistance programs through PPA, and we will continue to do so."

PPA, a nationwide effort sponsored by America’s biopharmaceutical research companies, provides a platform to engage, educate and empower both patients and caregivers by providing access to more information about their prescription assistance opportunities.

The newly designed website features information on how uninsured patients can access healthcare coverage and interactive content about how better health care can be provided for all patients. It also has information on more than 100,000 free healthcare clinics in the U.S.

In addition to its website, PPA has a large social media presence on Twitter and Facebook, so that they can provide caregivers and patients with information about the programs and other consumer health initiatives.
