RegionalCare works with RelayHealth to enhance clinical care delivery

RegionalCare Hospital Partners on Thursday announced it is working with RelayHealth to provide health care professionals and patients with seamless access to complete, longitudinal records that capture clinical information from various care settings.

"Creating a single, consolidated record loomed over us as a great challenge for quite some time," RegionalCare Chief Information Officer Mark Gilliam said. "We didn't have a standard footprint but realized that our health system needed to make it easy for every clinician and patient in the market we serve to interact with us in a seamless manner."

Through this single view, clinicians can improve care delivery and patients can be more engaged in their care. The health system used RelayHealth’s Connected Care solution to create a record that includes data gathered from multiple vendors; electronic health record systems.

"Meeting meaningful use goals quickly was just the tip of the iceberg," Ken Tarkoff, RelayHealth's  senior vice president and general manager, said. "We collaborated with RegionalCare to focus on the bigger picture and transform this project into a strategic initiative. Our goal is to power the interoperability and patient engagement that will lead to improved outcomes and reduce costs, both of which are critical to long-term success under value-based care models."

In addition to the single view, patients can also access gathered information through the RelayHealth patient portal
