Zynex receives Oregon license for Pharmazy

Medical technology firm Zynex, Inc., announced Monday that it has received license approval from the state of Oregon for its compound pharmacy business, Pharmazy.

The company is now licensed to provide compound pharmacy services in 42 states and the District of Columbia.

“We continue to expand our footprint for the compound pharmacy with the addition of Oregon, our 43rd license,” Zynex CEO Thomas Sandgaard said. “We are working towards licensing in all 50 states."

Pharmazy is a community pharmacy created to meet the health care needs of each customer by offering pharmacist consultations, quality customer service, state-of-the-art automated prescription dispensing machines that guarantee quick and efficient service, and compounding prescription services.

Zynex specializes in the manufacture and sale of non-invasive medical devices for stroke rehabilitation, pain management and neurological diagnostics. The company is currently working on a blood-volume monitor for use in surgery centers and hospitals.

In 2014, Zynex began operating a non-sterile compound pharmacy and marketing their own proprietary Pharmazy-branded cream alongside electrotherapy products to provide doctors with a range of conservative pain management solutions. Sandgaard said the company has seen a significant revenue contribution from the compound pharmacy initiative.
