Geneva Woods Pharmacy completes Frontier Medical integration

Geneva Woods Pharmacy, Inc., (GWP) a provider of integrated home and specialty pharmacy services in under-served rural markets, said on Tuesday that its merger with Frontier Medical has been fully implemented structurally, as it has now fully integrated the firm -- a provider of long-term care pharmaceutical services, home medical equipment, and complex rehabilitation and respiratory services in Alaska -- into its own company.

“We are proud to have joined forces with our partners at Frontier Medical to bring our integrated health care model to Alaskans, from the big cities all the way to the ‘last mile,’” GWP President Dan Afrasiabi said. “Now that the full consolidation of our two companies is behind us, we can put 100 percent of our focus on delivering our outcome-driven services, unparalleled anywhere in Alaska, to the thousands of clients we serve every week”

Gabby Lujan, Frontier’s founder and former CEO, and Dick Hobbs, the company's former chief operating officer,  have joined the GWP management team since the merger.

“After 15 years of competing with GWP, I am now proud to join the leadership ranks at GWP. I look forward to continuing what I started with my first visit to a village 25 years ago to bring rehabilitation services where none previously existed,” Lujan said. “We started Frontier because our rural markets needed help. Frontier and GWP proved there is a better way to deliver measurable outcomes for Alaskans who previously lacked these services at home.”
