PVMS launches sleep apnea program for Southern California Teamsters

Pharmacy Value Management Solutions, Inc. (PVMS), the wholly owned subsidiary of Advanzeon Solutions, Inc., recently launched its sleep apnea program for the Southern California Teamsters.

The program's launch is part of a deal made with the Teamsters Health and Welfare Fund in Southern California.

"We are extremely pleased with the start of operations, which, consistent with the contract requirements, officially began July 1, 2015,” PVMS Chief Operating Officer Jerry Smith said. "Well in advance of the start date, we significantly increased operational space, hired additional program-dedicated, customer service personnel, and invested substantial time and effort in hiring and training new staff members. We concurrently increased capacity in our infrastructure to handle the volume of traffic anticipated from union members.”

Smith said the company not only met its time frame commitment, but also successfully handled a significant number of union member calls before the program's launch.

"Simultaneous with our staff preparing to service the Trust Fund members, PVMS also initiated a substantial build out of our National Sleep Specialists Network [NSSN],” Smith said. “The reception from the contacted providers has been very favorable with providers exhibiting significant interest in joining NSSN on an exclusive basis and servicing our referred patients. We currently have, for signature, contracts with 60-plus sleep apnea facilities in Southern California."
