Walgreens pharmacy manager gains national honor

The National Association of Professional Women honored Alyssa Greed as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle for her prominent leadership in pharmacy.

NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization for professional women. The organization has more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to recognize Alyssa with this important honor,” NAPW President Star Jones said. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

Greedy took over the pharmacy manager position at Walgreens 3 years ago -- a big change for her and her new staff.

“I learned very quickly that one person’s attitude can affect the entire staff, especially if it starts at the top,” Greedy said. “It took a lot of encouragement and a little bit of time to get the staff engaged and happy to come to work again.”

Today, Greedy’s staff members are happy to come to work every day in the pleasurable and supportive environment she has created for them to learn and grow. With her dedicated team, Greedy has succeeded in increasing the gross profit of her location to over 400 percent by reducing excess inventory, providing better service, gaining more patients and increasing sales.
