Cardinal Health has organized its 25th annual Retail Business Conference (RBC) to help independent pharmacists succeed.

Over 8,000 people from around the world, including representatives from Australia and China, will attend the event in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel and Convention Center Wednesday through Saturday.

The conference honors the progress of independent pharmacists throughout the last 25 years. All participants will have the opportunity to network with pharmacy owners throughout the U.S., which will help independent pharmacists to gain a better position to succeed in the always-changing health care environment.

There will be approximately 400 automation, manufacturer, pharmacy, and software business vendors. The event also features more than 40 courses to assist pharmacy owners and pharmacists in enhancing their business and clinical operations.

"Every day, independent pharmacy owners are challenged to find new ways to improve their financial health and efficiency, while ensuring patient care is their top priority," Steve Lawrence, senior vice president of Independent Sales for Cardinal Health, said. "This year, we recognize the 25th anniversary of RBC, and celebrate the work independent pharmacists do day in and day out to improve patient health in their communities, as we share new ideas and solutions to help them continue to serve as their communities' most trusted health care advisers."
