TRICAST, Zywave team up to help insurers control costs with PBMs

Pharmacy data analytics company TRICAST said on Wednesday that is partnering with Zywave, a leading provider of software-as-a-service technology solutions for the insurance industry, to provide insurance brokers and their clients access to newly negotiated contract pricing with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).

"Being a Zywave partner just got sweeter," Zywave CEO Dave O'Brien, said. "Our new relationship with TRICAST means our partners have direct access to a team of experts with a wealth of pharmacy benefits and health care insight."

The partnership brings considerable value to brokers and their clients because of the program's ability to offer low dispensing fees, deep pharmacy discounts and aggressive rebates.

"ZywaveRx, powered by TRICAST business intelligence, will help brokers easily identify savings for their clients," Rob Bigalke, TRICAST's senior pharmacy consultant and director of business development, said. "Using the calculator that's embedded in ZywaveRx, you can plug in some basic information or supply an entire claim set. The more information you provide, the more accurate your savings analysis will be. It really is the ultimate tool for controlling overall pharmacy spending."

TRICAST will oversee all pricing negotiations and program administration, and will deliver industry-leading support and expertise.

TRICAST uses industry expertise and powerful software tools to allow clients to make decisions that lower their health care costs and manage their PBMs.
