Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell said this week that the agency would provide nearly $500 million in Affordable Care Act funds to aid health centers across the nation that provide primary-care services to those in need.

Approximately $350 million will go to 1,184 health centers to help patients access medical, oral, behavioral, pharmacy and vision-care services.

The other $150 million will be divided among 160 health centers to fund renovations, expansions or construction projects that will
increase patient or service capacity.
