The Lynx Group, NASP announce new partnership

The Lynx Group, a global alliance of medical communication and education companies, and the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP), a trade association representing the specialty pharmacy industry, recently partnered for an upcoming expo.

In an effort to advance the specialty pharmacy industry within the health care market, the Lynx Group will provide NASP with strategic planning and marketing support for the organization's annual meeting and expo, which is set to take place Sept. 26 to Sept. 28 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

“The Lynx Group possesses significant association management experience and can provide the NASP with the support it needs to build its brand and membership,” Lynx Group President and CEO Brian Tyburski said. “We’re looking forward to the varied opportunities that this partnership will offer not only to the NASP but developing synergies with other aligned national healthcare associations and patient advocacy groups in the specialty pharmacy care sector.”

The event is expected to draw in industry leaders from across the nation with estimated attendees in the thousands. The invitation list includes 1,000 senior executives, pharmacy directors, staff pharmacists, consultants and other management-level personnel from specialty pharmacy providers, infusion pharmacies, pharma/biotech manufacturers, institutional pharmacies, hospitals, managed-care organizations, GPOs and specialty pharmaceutical suppliers and distributors.

“The Lynx Group’s experience and strategic marketing affiliates will help bring NASP to the forefront in terms of shaping public policy, patient access and professional education and certification for specialty pharmacy,” NASP President Burt Zweigenhaft said. “With this additional support, NASP will be able to take the next necessary steps to meet the varied and growing needs of our membership.”
