Easton Pharmaceuticals Inc., along with their partner, BMV Medica, announced this week that it has placed an initial order for the vaginal discharge diagnostic test, VS-Sense, and the amniotic fluid leak test, AmnioSense, from CommonSense, which manufactures the products in Israel.

Placing the orders for the products is Easton’s way of maintaining its emphasis on women’s health. The expected delivery date for the VS-Sense and the AmnioSense is late March. This will keep the delivery in line with Easton and BMV’s planned launch in April.

The first shipment of the products will be used in Easton's and BMV’s Mexico launch. They will ship 90,000 VS-Sense units and 140,000 AminoSense units for a combined total of 230,000 products. The companies estimate the supply will last three to six months. The companies will be adding the Gynofit bacterial vaginosis treatment along with these two products. BMV is currently trying to have Marketing Approvals transferred to it in an effort to launch all three products simultaneously.

Easton and BMV expect the obstetrician/gynecologist community in Mexico to make up the bulk of initial sales. The companies began receiving orders when they unveiled the products at the OB/GYN conference in Acapulco last November.
