Chattem Inc., a subsidiary of Sanofi, announced last week that its product, ACT Advanced Care Mouthwash, has been named the recipient of the 2016 Product of the Year award.
The award is voted on by consumers based on product innovation and is the largest consumer-voted award of its kind in the world. It is given to the top product in the Oral Care category after a national representative survey conducted by TNS, a worldwide leader in consumer research. ACT Advanced Care took home the top honors. More than 40,000 consumers participated in survey.
ACT Advanced Care Mouthwash was developed to kill 99 percent of bacteria, which helps eliminate plaque and gingivitis. Plaque is a film made up mostly of bacteria that sticks to the teeth. If it is not removed from teeth it can cause tooth decay and gum disease.
ACT Advanced Care Mouthwash's formula is designed to provide a pleasing taste and freshen breath while protecting teeth from plaque by killing the germs that lead to its existence. Plaque is the number one dental problem according to dentists and hygienists.
