McKesson announced this week that it has renewed health care IT services with Saint Anthony Hospital, based in Chicago, IL, and Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC), located in Tennessee.

Both organizations have confirmed that the experience they have received when dealing with McKesson and its service management are of high value.

Saint Anthony, an independent, faith-based nonprofit community hospital with 151 beds, first signed up with McKesson in 2008 and decided to outsource its IT services to McKesson in 2011. The hospital decided to renew because it respected the flexibility and proficiency of the McKesson team, as well as the high level of approval by customers and the company’s ability to meet the hospital’s unique needs.

CRMC, a hospital with 247 beds that serves the Upper Cumberland region of middle Tennessee, signed on to outsource their IT in full to McKesson in 1999 due to the company’s commitment to customer service. McKesson has since assisted CRMC with the management of its quick growth and increasing complexity of its IT systems in recent years.

Oftentimes, it is difficult for community hospitals such as Saint Anthony and CRMC to find and keep IT professionals. This is why the hospitals have outsourced to McKesson.
