National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Chairman Randy Edeker spoke during the morning Business Program at the organization's recent annual meeting.

He and other NACDS leaders shared the organization's role in assisting chain and associate members while they navigate the changing health care landscape.

“NACDS provides transactional value to the business, but it’s much, much more," Edeker said. "NACDS brings an intangible value: the inspiration I get when I come to events like this. As much as technology has advanced, it’s the relationships that really matter. It’s the knowledge and the strength that come from joining together.”

NACDS President and CEO Steven Anderson shared his experiences with the audience. During his remarks, he spoke of the support members give each other through both difficult situations and successful conclusions. He also spoke of the memberships' solidarity as the NACDS continues its efforts in advocating for pharmacies, pharmacy services and better care for patients.

“The full credit of every success we have goes to the NACDS membership and to the NACDS board. Your engagement, your energy mean everything," Anderson said. "We can accomplish so much more when we join together.”
