Walgreens customers shopping in stores in the southeast United States can make donations to the American Red Cross Relief Fund to help the victims of Hurricane Matthew.

Customers can donate in amounts of $1, $2, $5 and $10.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people who have been displaced in Hurricane Matthew’s path and the flooding that followed,” Walgreens Vice President of Corporate Operations for the Southeast Charles Bernard said. “They include our neighbors, our customers and our employees, and we want to support them in any way we can.”

All proceeds will go toward the support of communities that were impacted by the hurricane, including those in Haiti and the southeastern United States. Through the end of October, Walgreens locations will provide customers with the opportunity to make relief effort donations when checking out in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Virginia.

Walgreens has also donated products to emergency shelters that are helping people in need in the areas that were impacted by the storm.
