Merck receives prestigious R&D 100 Award

Merck was honored with the award due to its Sanger Arrayed Lentiviral CRISPR Libraries, which is the first CRISPR library of its kind. R&D Magazine announced the honorees Nov. 3 at its 54th Annual R&D 100 Awards Dinner held in Washington D.C.
"Advancements in gene editing with tools like CRISPR are helping our customers discover and manufacture new treatments for the most difficult conditions," Merck Executive Board member and Life Science CEO Udit Batra said. "We will continue to collaborate with the global scientific community to deliver the promise of their innovations faster and work to accelerate access to health for people everywhere."

Known as the “Oscars of Invention,” R&D Magazine’s awards recognize the 100 most groundbreaking scientific and technological breakthroughs of the year.
