Rite Aid has announced that their customers will be able to save $5 on flu shots during National Influenza Vaccination Week in support of the cause.
The discount on the flu shots will end on Dec. 17. The cost of the trivalent standard flu shot is $27.99 and the quadrivalent flu vaccine is available for $34.99.
“National Influenza Week is the perfect time to remind people who haven’t received a flu shot yet that it is not too late to do so, as it is the best way to protect yourself and others from this potentially serious illness,” Rite Aid Executive Vice President of Pharmacy Jocelyn Konrad said. “Rite Aid pharmacists are committed to helping the communities we serve live and stay well, which is why we encourage customers to receive their flu shot annually.”
National Influenza Vaccination Week was created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2005. The event is a national week of observance that stresses how important it is to stay current on influenza vaccinations.
Across the U.S., more than 11,000 Rite Aid pharmacists are certified to provide the immunizations at Rite Aid pharmacy locations. The shots are subject to state regulations.
