ViiV Healthcare CEO Dr. Dominique Limet will relinquish his title and step down in March.
GSK U.S. Pharmaceuticals Senior Vice President of Primary Care Deborah Waterhouse will succeed Limet and will become the CEO Designate on Jan. 1.
“I want to thank Dominique for the success achieved under his leadership,” GSK CEO Andrew Witty said. “Since he became CEO of ViiV Healthcare at its creation seven years ago, the business has successfully launched new medicines, established an innovative pipeline and built a strong reputation with health care professionals and the HIV community."
Limet began his career with GSK in 1996 and has held a number of positions in marketing and management during his time with the company.
"We are delighted that Deborah will be his successor," Witty said. "She is a dynamic leader who has a real passion to deliver for patients and customers and we are confident that she will continue to develop the business successfully to make a difference for people living with HIV, their families and society as a whole.”
