Access to affordable and dependable health care for women has become  growing issue, and one facility says that it is prepared to play a big role in the solution in making women’s health care more accessible.
MinuteClinic is an organization dedicated to women’s health. Some of the services offered include birth control care, HPV vaccines, pregnancy testing and urinary tract, bladder and yeast infection diagnosis and treatment.
“With the uninsured rate at a record low, more Americans are seeking health care than ever before,” Angela Patterson, chief nurse practitioner officer of MinuteClinic, said. “That, coupled with the growing shortage of primary care providers, there are more people in need of health care services."
Patterson said this is especially challenging for women who have not had a chance to find and establish a relationship with a primary care provider.
"MinuteClinic has introduced services for women that can make it easier to receive treatment for many common conditions and health care needs,” she said.
