ASHP recognizes 11 pharmacy students for leadership

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) has awarded 11 pharmacy students with both recognition and a cash reward for their excellence in their education, both on campus and pharmacy practice.

The ASHP Student Leadership Award has been made possible by the ASHP and the ASHP Research and Education Foundation.

The winners for the class of 2017 are Erin Hickey from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy; Megan McGugan from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy; Jola Salavaci from the Temple University School of Pharmacy; and Stephanie Sollis from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy.

The winners for the class of 2018 are BrookeAnne G. Blay from the The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy; Stephanie Lombardi from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences; Laura Nice from the Northeast Ohio Medical University; Rachelle Roxas from the University of California, San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences; and Violet Valencia from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

The winners for the class of 2019 are Aaron Natarus from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and Amanda Van Matre from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
