Spectrum Pharmacy Products, a top manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceutical chemicals and supplies, is partnering with the Independent Pharmacy Alliance (IPA), a retail pharmacy and trade group that represents thousands of pharmacies in the Northeastern U.S., PR Newswire reported.

"Our partnership with Spectrum enables IPA's members to provide superior compounding services at a tremendous savings," John Giampolo, IPA's president and executive director, said. "As part of their renewed commitment to compounding, Spectrum has opened a state-of-the-art compounding education and training facility, the Spectrum Pharmacy Institute."

With this new partnership, Spectrum will be able to offer IPA members some of the broadest selection of compounding chemicals in the industry, including over 1,200 USP-NF-FCC chemicals.

"Independent pharmacies provide compounded medications in the communities they serve, giving access to patients that depend on personalized medicine for the highest quality care," Craig Recatto, president of Spectrum Pharmacy Products, said. "Spectrum is committed to supporting these pharmacies by partnering with IPA to offer the largest selection of chemicals, related supplies and superior service to the membership. IPA members can also take full advantage of Spectrum Pharmacy Institute's continuing education courses, centrally located in New Brunswick, New Jersey."
