McKesson names Nagji president of corporate strategy and business development

McKesson Corp. announced Tuesday that Bansi Nagji has been appointed executive vice president of corporate strategy and business development.
His predecessor, Brian Tyler, was promoted to president of North American Pharmaceutical Distribution and Services.
Prior to McKesson, Nagji led the U.S. global and strategy practice at Deloitte Consulting, LLP, and was president of Monitor Group, which was acquired by Deloitte in 2013. He played an influential part in the incorporation of Monitor into Deloitte’s operations.
“Bansi will be a tremendous asset to the company as we leverage our new global presence on behalf of our customers and partners,” McKesson Corp. CEO John Hammergren said. “He will provide a valuable and unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing health care as reform drives further transformation throughout the industry.”
Tyler, who has been with McKesson for 18 years, has fully transitioned into a role that was created after thew company acquired Celesio, a global pharmaceutical distribution company.
“Brian is ideally suited to take on this newly established role, given his extensive experience with most of the businesses that fall under his new area of responsibility,” Hammergren said. “In conjunction with our Celesio leadership team, Brian will lead our efforts to maximize operational excellence and facilitate collaboration across our businesses to benefit our customers and business partners.”
