LVBCH, Capital BlueCross extend partnership

The Lehigh Valley Business Coalition on Healthcare (LVBCH) and Capital BlueCross reached an early agreement on Wednesday to prolong their partnership through 2018, continuing Capital BlueCross’ designation as a LVBCH Preferred Partner.

“It was only natural that the LVBCH reach an early agreement to extend our partnership with Capital BlueCross,” Tom Croyle, LVBCH president, said. “Our employers across the region have expressed a high degree of satisfaction with the quality service and support Capital BlueCross provides.

Capital BlueCross is one of four health insurers designated as a LVBCH Preferred Partner, which means it exhibits improved plan performance, pricing or enhanced service capabilities.

As part of the ongoing agreement, employers that are members of LVBCH will receive Capital BlueCross’ specialized pricing options and top customer support. In addition, LVBCH said it hopes to utilize BlueCross' data analytics to better support its members.

“Our goals of working to improve the quality of care while lowering costs is aligned with the LVBCH,” Tracy Onorofsky, Capital BlueCross senior vice president of commercial group sales, said. “Whether it is through our advanced analytic capabilities, worksite wellness programs, retail experience or innovative online health tools and mobile apps, Capital BlueCross is committed to continuously improving the health of LVBCH members and their families.”
