Rite Aid has recently collaborated with HealthSpot to deploy telepresence pharmacy kiosks at 25 Rite Aid pharmacies across Ohio.

According to a HealthSpot press release, by using cloud-based software, users are able to interact with medical professionals via telepresence tools. The kiosk comes equipped with a variety of medical tools, such as a stethoscope, otoscope and pulse oximeter, which the patient can use with the medical professional's instruction.

"Telehealth is a key driver in the revolution of our health care delivery system," HealthSpot CEO Steve Cashman said. "HealthSpot brings together a set of unique technologies, devices and local healthcare providers to create a one-of-a-kind healthcare experience. We are thrilled to be working with Rite Aid to pilot this new healthcare model as the first retail clinic truly integrated with local health systems to expand access to affordable and convenient healthcare in Ohio."

HealthSpot represents the first true integration of telehealth and personal healthcare. HealthSpot has the tools to empower any healthcare provider or specialist to provide high-quality care they’ve always provided, but with more efficiency, more convenience and a greater reach. In addition, they have the technology and support needed to make sure every patient visit is an excellent experience.
