Curexa Pharmacy received full accreditation status this week from the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) due to its specialty pharmacy services.

Curexa is a pharmacy that is widely known throughout the industry as having highly valued clinical programs and outstanding patient care. It is the goal of the URAC to acknowledge improved quality and efficiency of health care management by awarding accreditation.

To receive accreditation, a health care group must show that it is in agreement with national standards. The process by which the URAC awards accreditation validates quality services and provides guidelines and nationwide standards that will help to improve business processes.

URAC is a nationwide leader in the accreditation process for health and managed care organizations. The URAC, which was founded in 1990, now offers more than 30 programs in the health care industry that can lead to accreditation.

Curexa received its accreditation from the URAC because of its work with insurance companies, manufacturers and prescribers. They ability to offer a high level of care to patients was factored into the decision as well.
