PVMS signs agreement with Arcadian
Arcadian Telepsychiatry allows mental health providers to conduct real-time mental health consults with patients by video conferencing. In the new agreement, Arcadian’s providers will provide services to all patients referred by PVMS.
"This affiliation is extremely significant for both of our companies," Mark Heidt, PVMS president, said. "Arcadian has a provider network covering all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. When added to our existing 'bricks and mortar' provider panel, this makes us the largest company of our kind in the country. Arcadian has a total patient population pool to draw upon in excess of 20 million individuals through contracts with a major national insurance carrier, Employee Assistance Program services, and primary care practices. We expect a significant number of that population using Arcadian's services will be suspect of having sleep apnea and will be referred to us for both their initial sleep apnea testing and subsequent treatment, where indicated. We expect substantial patient flow to occur almost immediately."
Arcadian will also use PVMS for its sleep apnea program for Arcadian’s patients.
"I am extremely pleased to have entered into this Agreement with PVMS," Robert Plotkin, president and CEO of Arcadian Telepsychiatry, said. "The company's areas of expertise are both sleep apnea and behavioral health. Arcadian's area of expertise is behavioral health. Our agreement provides for the mutual exchange of our patient population, when indicated. I believe the synergies achievable between our two companies are extraordinary. I am confident that the inter-workings of our companies will prove to be extremely financially beneficial for both companies and provide significant benefits to our respective patients."
