The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has announced several upcoming events aimed at supporting pharmacists and their teams. These events are designed to address various aspects of pharmacy practice, from mental health training to navigating audits and exploring ownership opportunities.

On June 11, NCPA will offer a Mental Health First Aid Training session online. This course is intended for pharmacy team members who may encounter mental health episodes more frequently than situations requiring basic life support or CPR. The training aims to equip attendees with the skills needed to identify, understand, and respond effectively in such scenarios. Registration is available at a reduced rate thanks to the Cardinal Health Foundation, with a deadline of June 4 for interested participants.

Following this, on June 12, NCPA's Learning Hour series will present "Navigating LTC Pharmacy Audits: Trends, Risks, and Strategies for Success." This webinar focuses on long-term care pharmacies facing increased scrutiny as pharmacy benefit managers tighten audit processes. Attendees will explore key trends in LTC audits, identify high-risk categories, and learn about strategies to mitigate risks.

For those considering pharmacy ownership or seeking to enhance their management skills, the Pharmacy Ownership Workshop will be held on July 9-10 in Nashville, Tennessee. Sponsored by McKesson and partially supported by First Financial Bank and Pharmacists Mutual Companies, this workshop promises valuable insights for both prospective owners and current managers. Interested individuals should register by June 23.

In addition to these educational opportunities, registration opens on June 9 for the NCPA 2025 Annual Convention and Expo scheduled from October 18-21 in New Orleans. The convention offers independent pharmacists peer-to-peer business education sessions, networking opportunities with industry professionals old and new alike, as well as an Expo Hall showcasing products and services aimed at strengthening businesses.

NCPA emphasizes that event details may change; therefore attendees are encouraged to visit their website for the most current information regarding these events.
