The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has announced a series of upcoming events aimed at supporting pharmacists and pharmacy teams throughout December and into early 2026.
On December 3, the CPESN Community Connected webinar will address how pharmacy professionals can navigate difficult conversations about death and dying. The session will discuss the end-of-life process and ways pharmacies can provide clinical services to assist patients and families during this time.
A webinar for NCPA members is scheduled for December 4 to introduce the Beacon MFP platform. Beginning January 1, pharmacies’ reimbursement for certain drugs in the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program will involve manufacturer refund payments. The session will explain how Beacon MFP helps pharmacies track refunds, access claim-level data, and submit good faith inquiries.
On December 11, two webinars are planned. The first, titled “340B-rrr: Feeling the Chill of the IRA,” is part of the NCPA Learning Hour series. It will focus on changes brought by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), particularly its effects on drug pricing, reimbursement, and implications for entities involved in the 340B program.
Also on December 11, an informational webinar will preview a revised coaching program from the NCPA Innovation Center/CPESN Community Pharmacy Fellowship Program. Launching in February, this initiative targets pharmacists and technicians looking to improve medication synchronization programs.
On December 16, an online Mental Health First Aid training course will be offered. This live session aims to equip pharmacy team members with skills to identify and respond to mental health episodes—a situation they may encounter more frequently than basic life support or CPR cases. Thanks to support from the Cardinal Health Foundation, registration fees are reduced for participants who sign up by December 9.
Looking ahead to next year, registration is open for NCPA’s Multiple Locations Conference set for February 18-21 in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The conference targets owners of multiple pharmacies or those planning expansion and focuses on strategies for managing additional stores effectively.
All event details are subject to change; updates can be found on the NCPA website.
According to NCPA: "Founded in 1898, the National Community Pharmacists Association is the voice for the community pharmacist, representing over 18,900 pharmacies that employ more than 235,000 individuals nationwide.
