PCCA announced on June 23 a new partnership with TJM Labs, an AI-powered pharmacy automation company, to provide compounding pharmacies with intelligent workflow infrastructure. The collaboration designates TJM Labs as PCCA’s official automation partner, giving PCCA members and customers access to AI bots designed specifically for pharmacy operations.
According to the announcement, the AI technology aims to help compounding pharmacies reduce repetitive manual tasks, improve dispensing accuracy, and scale operations without increasing headcount. TJM Labs develops automation tools that address various administrative workflows such as prescription intake, data entry, refill processing, prior authorizations, medication synchronization (MedSync), and patient communication. The platform is built to integrate into existing pharmacy systems.
Gus Bassani, PharmD and Chief Executive Officer of PCCA, said: “What sets TJM Labs apart is that their technology was built by pharmacists who truly understand the compounding environment from the inside. As fellow PharmDs, founder Jonathan Adly and his team at TJM Labs speak our members’ language – and that shared clinical and operational expertise will deliver real results for independent compounding pharmacies navigating an increasingly complex healthcare landscape.”
TJM Labs currently supports more than 400 pharmacies and processes over 300,000 prescriptions daily through its intelligent workflow automation system. PK Software—PCCA’s end-to-end software solution for compounding pharmacies—will also collaborate closely with TJM on future integrations and services.
Jonathan Adly, Chief Executive Officer of TJM Labs, said: “Compounding pharmacies are some of the most innovative operators in healthcare. Partnering with PCCA allows us to help these pharmacies automate operational bottlenecks, reduce administrative burden, and scale sustainably while preserving the high-touch care that defines compounding.”
PCCA has supported independent compounding pharmacies for 45 years through proprietary base technology, education programs, formulation development services, and advocacy efforts. The organization provides products and support to more than 3,000 pharmacy members in multiple countries.
