Unity Health Insurance Forms New Subsidiary

Unity Health Plans Insurance Corp. on Tuesday announced the formation of a new fully owned subsidiary, QuartzSM.
Quartz, a third-party administrator, offers a wide range of administrative services that assist business in cost management while providing employees with high-quality health benefit programs.
“Quartz customers can expect the same highly-rated service that customers experience with Unity,” Unity Health Insurance President and CEO Terry Bolz said. “Businesses may choose from a wide range of Quartz services including health management programs, such as wellness, disease management, pharmacy benefits and more.”
Businesses that would like to self-fund their health-benefit dollars will be able to help control health care costs and provide benefits they want through Quartz. By being self-funded, businesses can customize benefits to meet the needs of their employees and only pay for the claims acquired by their employees.
Quartz will help business maintain control costs through effective plan design, administration and cost management.
Unity Health Insurance is an affiliate of University of Wisconsin Health and provides community-based managed care products and services to more than 170,000 members throughout southwest Wisconsin. It focuses on direct access to leading medical centers and community-based health care.
