North Carolina Board of Pharmacy schedules July meeting with live stream option

The North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is set to hold its next meeting on July 8, 2025. The gathering will take place in person at the Board's office located at 6015 Farrington Road, Chapel Hill, NC. For those unable to attend physically, the meeting will be live-streamed on YouTube.

The agenda for the meeting includes several key topics. On Monday, July 7, pre-hearing conferences with Fullwood and Sain are scheduled. The following day, discussions will begin at 9:00 A.M. with the S.L. 2021-110 Implementation Committee.

Other items on the agenda include a review of May 2025 meeting minutes and recognition of pharmacists who have been continuously licensed for 60 years. Additionally, there will be a proposed amendment to SL2021-110 concerning a statewide protocol for post-exposure HIV prophylaxis.

Further discussions will cover the proposed calendar for board meetings and events in 2026, committee assignments for FY2025-26, and financial reports from May 2025. Investigations and inspections statistics will also be presented by Fullwood and Parham.

Legislative updates and rulemaking activities are also on the docket, although no actions by the Board are currently required in these areas. Reports from various committees regarding rule reviews and potential amendments will be discussed as well.

The election for a Board Member representing the Southeastern District is slated for August 5, with a candidate interest forum hosted by Moore. Upcoming meetings include the NABP District 3 Annual Meeting in Louisville, KY from September 7-10 and the MALTAGON Annual Meeting in Norman, OK from September 21-23.

Finally, a consent agenda featuring consent orders and closed session discussions on potential summary suspensions will conclude the meeting.
