PDR appoints new member to board of directors

The board of directors at PDR, LLC, said on Monday that it has appointed Harry Totonis to the board.

Totonis is an accomplished health information technology (HIT) innovator, with a track record of success as an independent director at the firm.

“Harry’s deep expertise in HIT-connected health care -- including eRx/EMRs/EHRs, payers and smart health care networks -- will be further support for PDR’s growth strategies,” PDR CEO Mark Heinold said. “As the largest aggregated provider-patient communications network, PDR is focused on driving improved health outcomes for our providers, patients and sponsors.”

Most recently, Totonis was president and CEO of Surescripts, where he was responsible for the company's transformation into a leading clinical network. Prior to Surescripts, he was group executive at MasterCard Worldwide from 2004 to 2009 and served as president and CEO of Kinexus from 2000 to 2004.

Totonis began his career at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he focused on strategy consulting for large global companies at the board and CEO levels.
