The nation's first integrative pharmacy chain, Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, recently announced it will team up with Diplomat Pharmacy Inc. to offer patients access to specialty care services.
This partnership will allow Pharmaca to offer better service and convenience to the specialty medication population. Pharmaca will now be able to extend immediate access to specialty pharmacy services to patients. It can also now make use of Diplomat's expertise in the sector.
"Our pharmacy model has always emphasized the importance of providing our customers with expert service and a broad selection of health care options," Stu Gratz, Pharmaca's vice president of pharmacy, said. "By partnering with Diplomat, we are expanding our services even further, strengthening our ability to help those in need, and positioning our pharmacy as a true full-service partner in health."
Founded in 2000 in Boulder, Colorado, Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy blends traditional pharmacy services with complementary and alternative therapies, allowing patients a choice in how they want to approach their health care. Pharmaca has 30 locations spread throughout California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington.
"Partnering with Pharmaca means more patients will have access to highly skilled teams of specialists who understand specialty patients' unique needs," Ela Lourido, senior director of Retail Specialty Network for Diplomat, said. "At Diplomat, our Retail Specialty Network offers a revolutionary partnership that bridges the gap between Pharmaca and the specialty market."
