Meridian Health Plan second largest HPV vaccine administrator
A recent analysis of 2013 health plan performance rates on the Human Papillomavirus Vaccination in Female Adolescents HEDIS measure, NCQA discovered that Meridian had the second highest performance rate on this preventive measure.

Our commitment to preventive care is vital to ensuring our youth have the foundation for a lifetime of health," Judith Pobojewski, Illinois director of quality improvement for Meridian Health Plan, said.
Meridian Health Plan is the number one Medicaid HMO in Illinois and tenth in the country according to NCQA's Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2014–2015. NCQA's Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set is the most popular performance measurement tool in health care.
HPV, the most common sexually transmitted infection for women, is a major cause of cervical cancer in women. The proper preventative care of three HPV vaccinations for girls at 9-13 years old can prevent infection with the strains of HPV that are associated with cervical cancer.
