ACRO launches CRO innovation month
"Incorporating the patient perspective into clinical trials is essential for ACRO members as they work to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical trials while ultimately helping to deliver better outcomes for patients," Doug Peddicord, executive director of ACRO, said. "Our members have enthusiastically embraced this new paradigm of drug development, as this video series demonstrates."
A sequence of videos showing how clinical research organizations are educating and engaging patients while applying their suggestions into the clinical research process will debut this month.
"Stay tuned throughout the Fall as ACRO will be releasing a number of videos focused on topics such as: the importance of real world data for sponsors, regulators, and payers; promoting diversity in clinical trials; the patient's perspective on clinical trial participation; and CRO efforts to collaborate to improve the drug development process,” Peddicord said. “Policymakers and regulators globally are weighing in on these topics and CROs, with the pivotal role they play in the drug development process, are well-positioned to inform and influence these discussions."
