Lafayette Radiology, a radiology group based in Lafayette, Indiana, announced last week that will begin utilizing McKesson Business Performance Services in order to help its staff adjust to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition (ICD-10), which went into effect last year.
Lafayette Radiology was formed in 2004 and uses ultra-modern equipment in order to provide both diagnostic and interventional radiology services to the St. Elizabeth Regional Health Systems.
The McKesson Business Performance Services will provide documentation training, coding, claims management, denial management, compliance and business intelligence reporting.
“We are benefiting greatly from McKesson’s long-standing expertise in radiology coding, billing, denial management and compliance,” Teresa Mitchell, Lafayette Radiology’s executive director, said. “We see this relationship as a major step forward as our practice adapts to a changing health care environment."
Mitchell also added that other benefits of McKesson’s technology includes better management of the organization and being able to identify opportunities that could lead to future growth for the radiology group.
Pat Leonard, president of McKesson Business Performance Services, said, “Regardless of the specific market conditions organizations face, McKesson can help them prosper in today’s uncertain health care climate.”
McKesson Corp. is a top-ranked Fortune 500 company that aims to help business involved in the health care system run more efficiently.
