Cipher names Ralph Bohrer U.S. President and General Manager

Cipher Pharmaceuticals Inc. has appointed Ralph Bohrer as the president and general manager of its subsidiary located in the United States.

Bohrer has 30 years of experience as a pharmaceutical executive, serving in leadership roles in sales and marketing for dermatology companies. Before he started working for Cipher, he served as the executive director of sales and marketing at Taro Pharma, a worldwide leader in developing, manufacturing and selling dermatology products. While with Taro his responsibilities included the branding of its dermatology business unit.

Before his time with Taro, Bohrer was the VP of sales with Triax Pharmaceuticals. While there, he was in charge of a team consisting of 60 people charged with the promotion and sales of dermatology products. He also served as Principal at Ridgeback Associates, a consulting business he founded, spent 14 years with Medicis Pharmaceutical, serving in senior positions that included president of Medicis Canada, and was the general manager of Ascent Pediatrics/Ucyclyd Pharma.

Bohrer has stated that there is no more exciting time to join Cipher than the present and that he looks forward to the opportunity of help the company with its continued growth and success.
