APhA Foundation announces new Board of Directors

The new officers for the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) 2016-17 Board of Directors have been selected.

Among the officers that were announced by the APhA Foundation earlier this week are three newly elected directors that will serve until 2019. Leonard Edloe, M.Div, PharmD, will serve as president of the board during that span. His election to the top spot on the board comes after serving as vice president.

The new vice president will be Troy Trygstad, PharmD, MBA, Ph.D, and Tim Canning, BS, will be the board’s new treasurer. The officers and board members were sworn in in March at the APhA Foundation Contributors’ Breakfast as part of the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition. Joining the newly elected officers on the board will be the new directors, Laura Carpenter, Steve Simenson and Ellie Vogt.

The APhA Foundation extended its appreciation and thanks to former president, Ed Hamilton, PharmD, FAPhA, who will retain his position on the board after handing over his duties to Edloe. Members of the board who completed their terms and will not be returning for 2016-17 include: Bruce Laughrey, BSPharm, Stuart Haines, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP, BC-ADM, and Thomas Temple, RPh, MS.
