CVS Pharmacies now open in Utah Target stores

CVS Health announced the opening of the first CVS Pharmacies in Utah Target stores today.

Ogden-Clearfield, Provo-Orem, Salt Lake City and St. George Target stores now feature CVS Pharmacies. With the addition of the 13 Target locations, CVS Health now has 24 CVS Pharmacies in Utah.

"We're excited to introduce our integrated pharmacy services and health care expertise to Target guests in Utah," CVS Pharmacy SVP of Retail Field Operations Hanley Wheeler said. "Our pharmacy care and clinic offerings, along with our innovative digital tools, will offer consumers expanded wellness options and increased access to care. We look forward to welcoming Target guests as our pharmacy patients."

CVS Pharmacies offer a wide range of services and digital tools to patients, from the Maintenance Choice program that allows Caremark members to fill 90-day prescriptions by mail or store pickup to scanning pill bottles to order refills. Patients can also sign up for CVS loyalty and rewards programs to earn rewards for refilling prescriptions, getting immunized or receiving email reminders for prescription refills.

CVS Health continues to expand its operations. It acquired the existing Target pharmacies and retail clinics in December. The clinics are in the process of being rebranded as MinuteClinics. New Target stores will also feature store-in-store CVS Pharmacies.
