Two Prime Therapeutics LLC (Prime) pharmacists were recognized for achievement by the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) at its annual meeting last week.
Dr. Patrick Gleason was honored as a Fellow and Dr. Abigail Stoddard received the New Practitioner award.
“I am truly honored to be recognized by AMCP as a Fellow in their organization,” Dr. Gleason said. “To be chosen among my peers in this rigorous process is humbling and it makes me proud to continue contributing to the important work of our field and the AMCP organization.”
Gleason is currently the Director of Health Outcomes at Prime. He leads the assessment team as they develop and find new ways to improve Prime's pharmacy benefit management programs. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota.
Prime's principal government affairs consultant, Dr. Stoddard, was also recognized at the annual meeting with AMCP's first New Practitioner award. She has already made significant contributions to managed care pharmacy. She currently educates legislators on how public policy affects pharmacy benefit management.
“To be awarded the AMCP’s New Practitioner award in its first year is an incredible privilege,” Dr. Stoddard said. “I hope I can bring inspiration to other new graduates that they can make an impact on their field in a short amount of time, and their contributions will be noticed.”
