Johnson & Johnson recently made a five-year commitment to aid the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in its mission to see the improvement of the health and well-being of people worldwide.

Johnson & Johnson will be lending its expertise and innovations to partnerships formed around the world in an effort to jumpstart health care in a number of new plans, targets and metrics. Along with the announcement of developing worldwide partnerships, the company has also announced that it will step up its dedication to strengthening the resilience of refugees in Syria and the surrounding countries, where there is currently a great need of relief.

"Johnson & Johnson is committed to creating greater access to quality health care across the globe," Alex Gorsky, Chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson, said. "Beyond developing medicines, equipment and vaccines, we're in communities helping expectant mothers take better care of themselves and their babies during pregnancy. We're training nurses and doctors to identify and treat diseases, and also funding medical research. We're proud to take a leading role with the world community in this effort, which will go a long way toward creating a healthier society."
