Avella has moved its operations to a new 50,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Phoenix.
The move into the new facility will allow Avella to house its clinical, operational and administrative processes in one location, which will give the company a greater future growth scalability.
"While this new location is just literally blocks away from our previous headquarters, its impact on our operations and market positioning is far-reaching," Avella CEO Rebecca Shanahan said. "One of the biggest challenges Avella has faced to date is the limitations placed on our growth because of space and facility constraints. Now that this is no longer an issue, we can continue to expand our national footprint, serving more patients across the country with powerful therapies and collaborating with large hospitals, health systems and physician groups."
The new headquarters will feature a clean room that covers 8,000 square feet, approximately three times bigger than in its previous location.
Clean rooms, or areas where compounded drugs are developed, must meet rigorous quality control standards to ensure they are sterile and safe. The bigger clean room will allow Avella to increase its processing capability to 10,000 prescriptions a day.
