To kick off the holiday season, Cigna has released “Holiday Survival Tips.”
The tips are part of Cigna’s “Go. Know. Take Control.” Health Improvement Tour and is a healthy how-to for the holidays.
The “Go. Know. Take Control.” Tour will span multiple cities and deliver free health screenings to communities across the country to give people the opportunity to learn about their blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and body mass index so they can “take control” of their health.
“It’s all the more important to understand these numbers over the holiday season,” Cigna Chief Global Brand Officer Stephen Cassell said. “The annual onslaught of holiday parties and activities tends to bring both joy and strain – including stress, over-indulgence of food and drink, and a downtick in exercise due to dropping temperatures – making it hard to stay on track with personal health and fitness goals.”
According to the Cigna Affordability Study, which was released last year, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and BMI are four key factors when it comes to the majority of health risks. The Health Improvement Tour expands upon Cigna’s dedication and philanthropy efforts to deliver health and wellness programs to communities across the U.S.
