Drug Channels ranks top 15 U.S. pharmacies of 2016

The recent 2017 Economic Report on Pharmacies and Pharmacy Benefit Managers by Drug Channels named the top 15 U.S. Pharmacies of 2016. 
The pharmacies were ranked by a number of criteria, including total prescription dispensing revenues from retail, mail, long-term care and specialty pharmacies. 
The pharmacies to make the coveted top 15 ranking were as follows:
1) CVS Health Corp. Retail Pharmacy and Pharmacy Services, bringing in an estimated $96.4 billion prescription revenue for 2016.
2) Walgreens Boots Alliance, $56.8 billion.
3) Express Scripts Inc., $43.9 billion.
4) Walmart Stores Inc., $20.6 billion.
5) Rite Aid Corp., $19 billion.
6) UnitedHealth Group (OptumRx), $17.4 billion.
7) The Kroger Co., $10.8 billion. 
8) Albertsons Cos., $5.5 billion.
9) Humana Pharmacy Solutions, $5.1 billion.
10) Prime Therapeutics, $5 billion.
11) Diplomat Pharmacy, $4.6 billion.
12) Cigna Corp., $3 billion.
13) Costco Wholesale Corp., $2.6 billion
14) Ahold USA, $2.2 billion.
15) PharMerica, $2.1 billion.
