Avella Specialty Pharmacy recently launched an e-commerce platform to simplify orders for compounded products — featuring user-friendly, secure web access and streamlining ophthalmologists’ online tasks.
Practitioners can store payment information and call up order histories for easy refills, company spokespersons said. Additionally, the platform offers a customizable shipping procedure, enhancing efficiency. Avella’s system is PCI compliant and adaptive to tablets and mobile devices.
The ophthalmology-centered program is a first for the compounding industry and joins Avella’s other additional newer services released in 2017.
