Astellas Pharma US, Inc. issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.
For the remainder of 2018, Astellas will not increase any of the company’s drug prices in the United States. Astellas believes that the price of medicines should be a fair reflection of the value they bring to patients, healthcare systems and society as a whole. Astellas looks forward to working with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as the department implements its blueprint to reform the healthcare system and improve access for patients. Astellas remains committed to advancing constructive policies that foster medical innovation while ensuring patients’ access to medicines.
