Aesynt to exhibit pharmacy-automation wares at conference
Products that will be showcased at the conference include the i.v.STATION, which prepares intravenous medication, and the i.v.STATION ONCO, an oncology robot that automates the dosage-creation process for cancer patients. The company also will be demonstrating its i.v.SOFT, a software package that supports patient safety in IV machine operations.
“As hospitals and health systems are faced with managing increased patient volumes with fewer resources, they require flexible technology and work-flow strategies to enhance clinical quality and financial performance,” Kraig McEwen, CEO of Aesynt, said. “In close collaboration with our health care partners, Aesynt is pioneering medication management, developing and delivering the solutions they need to meet these challenges."
The company also has developed the Registry for Intravenous Technology in Pharmacy, also known as REINVENT. This is a platform for recording compounded sterile preparation data to improve the mixing process through increased analysis and evaluation insight.
“Tools like REINVENT offer the potential to leverage the data gathered through more than 50,000 sterile compounding preparations monthly to support better clinical decisions for our partners,” Doug Descalzi, senior vice president and general manager of IV solutions at Aesynt, said.
The conference will take place at the Colorado Convention Center.
