Diplomat Pharmacy given Preferred Specialty Vendor designation

Diplomat Pharmacy said on Friday that it has received Preferred Specialty Pharmacy Vendor status from the Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP)

"We are honored to be named a Preferred Vendor to ACAP," Atheer Kaddis, senior vice president for sales and business development at Diplomat, said. "Our focus on education, adherence efforts and helping manage costs of our patients makes Diplomat an ideal fit for ACAP's plans and the individuals they serve."

ACAP is a national trade association that represents 59 not-for-profit Safety Net Health Plans in 24 states. Together with the not-for-profits, ACAP plans serve 13 million people in Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP and various other public programs.

In the ACAP Preferred Vendor Program, pre-qualified organizations are given access to specific areas of interest for ACAP plans and their members. The ACAP board must approve each preferred vendor.

As a Preferred Specialty Pharmacy Vendor in the area of specialty pharmacy services, Diplomat offers its experience to help meet the needs of ACAP plans as they attempt to better the health and well being of lower-income and other susceptible populations.

Diplomat Pharmacy, based in Flint, Michigan, serves patients and physicians in all 50 states. Diplomat focuses on medication-management programs for consumers with complex chronic diseases, including oncology, immunology, hepatitis, multiple sclerosis, HIV, specialized infusion therapy and many other serious or long-term conditions.
