NetMeds, Stepathlon create pharmacy-record system for workplaces

NetMeds.com, India’s first e-marketplace for pharma, has partnered with Stepathlon, India’s leading corporate fitness brand, to introduce an automated pharmacy record-management system for employers.

“As an employer with a sizable staff, we recognized a chronic problem that plagued every HR professional regarding prescription-drug and other health-related expenditures,” Pradeep Dadha, CEO of NetMeds, said. “Search for pharmaceutical receipts, many of which are misplaced, followed by queuing up with the various receipts to be submitted to HR, have them documented and approved. The entire process is agonizing, time consuming, and inevitably costly for both HR and the employee.”

The two companies have partnered to introduce a customized version of Netmeds.com --  MedMemo, which will include a pharmacy administration system for HR managers and their employees.

Stepathlon has seen enrollment in its program grow in three years to include more than 440 companies. Microsoft, Tata Motors, Capgemini, the Oberoi Group and Google are among the main companies that have enrolled for the engagement program with Stepathlon.

“Stepathlon, in partnership with some of India’s biggest employers, has built a community around the concept of wellness, and we’ve earned the support of HR departments by proving that the benefits of reduced absenteeism and increased productivity and engagement are real,” Ravi Krishnan, co-founder and CEO of Stepathlon, said. “The partnership with NetMeds fits with our philosophy, of making it easier for employees to stay healthy within their busy lives, while also adding administrative convenience for the organizations for which they work.”
