Aethon announces innovative merger with Aesynt

Medication management provider Aethon's MedEx pharmacy operations management software platform recently integrated with Aesynt’s Connect-Rx.

Each year nearly 10,000 high-value pharmaceutical deliveries are lost for every 100 occupied hospital beds due to inefficient tracking and multiple employee hand-offs.

Together, the two entities will make pharmaceutical deliveries dispersed from Aesynt’s MedCarousel, ROBOT-Rx, PROmanager-Rx and MedShelf-Rx central pharmacy automation solutions transparent and enable pharmacies to drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to replenish medications.

“The MedEx product suite tracks approximately 4 million doses per year at our customer sites. Incorporating information about the pharmacy’s dispensing process with the delivery process will provide significant value to pharmacy directors who want to measure and improve the efficiency of operations,” Aethon CEO Aldo Zini said. The MedEx-Aesynt integration will be available spring 2016.
